Real Food – the stories of passionate makers

This new series of events kicks off on Saturday January 25th 2014 with 3 real bread bakers.

Timing
Date: Saturday 25th January 2014
Time: 6pm (sharp) for 2 hours’ish

Declan and his family tucked away a Michelin Star in the 1970’s and another in the 80’s – he feels at home in Kilkenny now! These days he runs a large small bakery in Cork.

Joe Fitzmaurice, Cloughjordan Wood Fired Bakery
Joe comes from the family behind Blazing Salads in Dublin and these days can be found in an eco-village where he happily shares pictures of his wood fired oven across Twitter.

What happens on the night?
We will get to hear from each of our guests who will share their stories and passion, we will kick into a discussion with all in room around #realbread and then finish off by tasting their their award-winning breads….

  5. Thanks Mel, your spammy friends now gone. Missed those. By that I mean a small scale #realbread bakery that has now scaled up to an industrial unit and 10+ employees. So they have scale without loosing the underlying ethos and processes.
